Greetings to all from His Excellency, Baron Wulfstan Egweald the Black, Head of House Darkspire. House Darkspire began as a household in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in the Kingdom of Drachenwald (Europe) in July 1998. We built the House on the premise of setting the example of chivalry, honor, loyalty and brotherhood for the rest of the Knowne World. Does this mean that we are uptight? Not in the slightest. At the appropriate times, we balance our chivalry and honor with a healthy and rather bawdy sense of humor. As a generality, members of House Darkspire are active in their local SCA groups and Kingdoms; exhibit the principles of chivalry, honor, loyalty and brotherhood, hospitality, and courtesy; and laugh well and often. We are a military style patriarchal hierarchy, with the Head of House delegating responsibility to his Grand Chancellor, Lord Guillaume Jean-Pierre de Mortain; and subsequently down to his Chancellors, who are responsible for their individual chapters or "Fiefs".
